Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
